Downtown Kingsport featured in August Edition of Fun Things To Do In The Mountains

Kingsport - In a recently published article in Fun Things To Do in the Mountains, Downtown Kingsport is praised for its wide variety of merchants and restaraunts.  The article entitled, "Taking Notice of Downtown Kingsport, TN: An Impressive Destination & Community", gives a flattering positive critique of the many changes and additions caused by recent Downtown Redevelopment projects. The article compares Kingsport with Savannah, Georgia, Greenville, SC, and Asheville, NC and calls Kingsport the next "must visit" downtown.

One of the highlights featured in the article is the Kingsport Higher Education Program and the enormous economic impact it will bring to the city.  The ever-growing Acedemic Village will bring in thousands of students and millions of dollars in revenue.

The article also emphasizes that there are aover a 100 active merchants in Downtown Kingsport that provide a wide-range of choices for residents and visitors.  Some shops featured in the article are Divine Cafe and Catering, Suzanne Barrett Justis Fine Art Studio and Gallery, Cindy Sasdeh Fine Art and Ripper Arts, Barefoot Chameleon, and the Centre Ville Spa and Salon.  

Downtown Kingsport has been showered with praise and recognition for recent Downtown Redevelopment and serves as a model for other communities to follow.
