Adult Education In Kingsport

Kingsport City Schools and Sullivan County Schools recently merged their respective General Educational Development (GED) programs to create the Kingsport/Sullivan County GED Program, opening two new satellite locations in Bristol and Blountville to serve residents. In addition, the program will serve inmates in the Sullivan County Correctional Facility three days a week. Dr. Lowell Biller, Kingsport City Schools Director of Adult Education, said the program merge will increase efficiency while hopefully expanding the number of students served.

New student orientation is held on the first and third Tuesday of every month at 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the main American Legion Campus and during the regularly scheduled class times at Northeast State and ETSU/Bristol.

Day Classes are provided at the following locations and times:

Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the American Legion Campus, 1700 Legion Drive, Kingsport

Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the ETSU/Bristol campus, 1227 Volunteer Parkway, Room 103

Evening Classes are provided at the following locations and times:

Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the American Legion Campus

Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Northeast State Technical Community College Campus in the Powers Building, Room B-107.
