The Budget Department

The Budget Department is responsible for the collection and analysis of departmental budget requests; preparing those requests for review by the City Manager for presentation to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen (in accordance with charter provisions). This office also prepares the estimated budget for the forthcoming fiscal year as well as the tentative appropriation ordinance for consideration by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. After adoption of the annual budget this office monitors departmental expenditures throughout the year. This office also encourages productive improvements in every municipal department; identifying areas of concern and improvement.
